Creeping across into nothingness.
So, tonight my lovely wife has been kept in hospital 'for observation'. This probably stamps on our hopes for a home birth. Not that the process is as important as the end result, but still.
This means it's the first time I've slept without her since Banff in July '02. And the first time I've slept without her in *our* bed since just after we were married and she went to a hen night. Four years or so?
Being able to sprawl out diagonally is no consolation.

We've all got our fingers and toes crossed at the comedy team. Can't wait for the arrival of baby Rolan to see what her *actual* name is gonna be.

Hospital births aren't so bad - and positively briliant if things don't go quite to plan! Just don't hang around too long afterwards - the NHS isn't the best hotel chain in the country.
Good luck to you both. We'll be thinking of you.

Both S and I suddenly - and independantly! - found ourselves thinking of Vicky this morning - at about 6.45 am.
I wonder if today's the day?
Good luck to you both. x
